When you pull up, license plate recognition software automatically matches your vehicle to your account.

Cameras positioned behind your vehicle scan your license plate and detect the license plate number in seconds.


Remember, this only works if there's a clean, unobstructed view of your plate. Here are some factors that can slow down or stop this process.

What is Tommy Club?

Tommy Club is a monthly payment plan that gives you unlimited car washes for one monthly price.

Is membership month to month?

• Yes, the membership is month to month; there are no long term contracts. Please note, the membership will auto renew each month on the same billing date. You can cancel or change your subscription at any time. Once cancelled you do get to continue washing through the end of your paid wash cycle.

How much does Tommy Club cost?

Plan pricing varies by location, but most plans start at $19.99/month for unlimited Quality washes and go up to $34.99/month for unlimited Works washes.

Can I wash my car at different locations?

Yes, your membership works at any Tommy's Express. When filling out your account information, you are asked for a primary location. This is simply the location you expect to visit the most.

Does each of my vehicles need its own membership?

Yes, each car needs its own membership, but multiple cars can be entered under the same credit card and account.

Can I sign up without a credit card / recurring subscription?

If you would like to be a TommyClub member, but not list a credit card in the Tommy’s Express Mobile App, we do have an option for you. We offer 1- and 3-month prepaid gift cards for the Works and Quality unlimited wash plans. The gift cards are available at your local wash site.

To use the gift cards for your membership, you will need to purchase your gift cards in the cashier lane of your wash and download the Tommy's Express Mobile App.

When signing up, scratch off the back of the card, and when the app prompts you to enter a code (typically the 3rd screen you will see), enter the code from the gift card. The code will be 8 CAPITAL LETTERS (case sensitive).

On the following screen, you must tap the Do Not Auto Renew button. It is highlighted in bright green or red depending on the type of mobile device you have. Be sure to click to turn it off. This will allow you to sign up without entering a credit card.

Once the code is entered, you will be able to wash for the time period the gift card is valued for.

How does upgrading or downgrading between billing dates affect my account?

Downgrading your wash plan takes effect immediately. We suggest to all our members when downgrading your wash plan that you do this at the very end of your wash cycle right before you renew. This way you are able to take advantage of the entire month that you have paid for.

Do you offer a family plan?

Tommy’s Express Unlimited Wash Club has a Family Plan for multiple vehicles. The first 2 vehicles added are charged at full price. The 3rd through 10th vehicles will each receive a $2 discount each month.

If you purchased or received a code for a free or discounted first month, that code is good for 1 vehicle. If you are adding additional vehicles, you will need to purchase or have received/purchased additional codes for each vehicle you would like to add in the mobile app.

Please know that by signing up for a Wash Plan or taking advantage of our promotion/s, each vehicle listed is enrolled in a monthly wash membership that will renew each month automatically at the normal monthly price to the credit card you have entered on the mobile app.

How does a membership work through the app?

Once you have signed up through the Tommy's Express Mobile App, you are enrolled in our monthly wash club. As a member, you can now have the ease of using our member lane to wash with us. You do not have to have your phone out or the Mobile App pulled up on your phone to use your membership.

As you pull up to the gate, our system recognizes your license plate as well as your wash package, so the gate will open and you will be able to wash your vehicle.

Once entering the gate, please pull around slowly and enter the tunnel. As your front tires load onto our conveyor belt, please put your vehicle in NEUTRAL, and our conveyor will effortlessly pull you through the tunnel. As you exit the wash, you will be headed slightly down hill. Place the car in drive, and pull around to utilize our free vacuums, purchase a detail kit, or use our free mat washers (if your wash offers them).

How do promotions work?

When a new wash site opens, and during special times of the year, the wash site may run different promotions. These promotions may offer you a free or discounted first month. If you take advantage of one of our promotions, you will be signing up for our monthly wash club subscription.

The day you sign up will establish your monthly renewal date. The credit card you have entered in our mobile app will be automatically charged each month on this date unless you cancel. This is explained when the team member on site gives you the promotion code, or on social media if that is where you received the promotion from.

While the first month of the membership may be free or discounted, the renewal will always be at the normal monthly wash price.

I added a second vehicle with a promotion and got charged. Why?

Your TommyClub account renewal date is established when you initially sign up your first vehicle. When you renew with a code in the middle of a billing date, even though the code is good for 30 days, your account will still renew on the established billing date. You will be charged a prorated amount to extend the coupon wash time out to start billing the following month on the account billing date. Our system is designed for all vehicles on the same account to catch up with each other and bill together once a month.

Don’t worry. You did not get over charged or cut short on wash time. You were charged to add additional wash days to your vehicle that you added with a code. Now, both vehicles will renew together each month.

When I sign up for a membership, does this mean I will be charged?

When you complete the signup process, the app states you are making a purchase. While you can navigate (try out) the mobile app without signing up, the last page of the mobile app states “Purchase”. Once you complete the signup process and tap Purchase, you have signed up for a subscription membership and you are charged for your selected plan.

After you have signed up, you are able to immediately begin washing your vehicle.

How does Pay Per Wash work?

You can now use our Tommy Club App in two different ways.

1. Our Tommy Club membership is a recurring subscription that allows you to wash an unlimited amount of times every month. Once you sign up for your subscription, the credit card you enter is charged (unless you signed up with a promotion), and you will be billed monthly for your wash subscription.

2. Our Pay Per Wash is an option where you can enter your credit card into the app and use our app lanes, but you are not signing up for a monthly subscription. You simply are charged each time you use the wash for your selected wash type. There is no recurring fee, only the charge you incur per wash. As a Pay Per Wash user, you will be charged each time you enter the wash for the wash type you select.

You can change your user type at any time. Keep in mind if you change from a Pay Per Wash to an Unlimited Wash membership you will be charged your monthly fee upon signup.

If you change from a Subscription to a Pay Per Wash, you will be able to use your membership through the end of your billing period and then will be charged per wash after your renewal date.

Add a Vehicle to My Account
  1. Tap the red icon on the top right hand corner.
  2. Tap My Cars.
  3. Scroll to bottom of screen and tap Add Car.
  4. Fill in the car information, then at the bottom tap Next.
  5. Tap Wash Plan.
  6. Tap the wash plan you want, then tap Ok.
  7. Tap Done.
  8. The system will update, add your vehicle, and charge you immediately for the wash package chosen. Please note that your overall billing account cycle is based on the original date of signup. Therefore, if you are signing up your additional vehicle in the middle of a billing cycle, your initial charge will be prorated so that all of your vehicles are charged on the same date.

Add or Edit a Credit Card
  1. Tap the red icon on the right-hand corner of your screen.
  2. Tap Billing.
  3. Tap Edit.
  4. Enter your billing information and tap Save Card.
Use a Gift Card

  2. Pick type of account (most likely Household).
  3. Enter the gift card code – all 8 CAPITAL LETTERS (MUST BE CAPITAL) – tap Apply.
  4. Add your vehicle information.
  5. Tap Primary Site – pick your site – tap Ok.
  6. Tap Wash Plan – tap the plan that pops up (e.g. Works Plan) – tap Ok.
  7. Tap the Auto Renew button to turn off the auto renew. This will allow you to skip credit card information and just use the time on the card (30 days).
  8. Credit card info will pop up – just tap Skip.
  9. Enter your name, phone, and zip code, and make sure email is correct.
  10. Tap Purchase – this will complete your signup.
Transfer My Wash Subscription

  1. Tap circle icon top right of screen.
  2. Tap My Cars.
  3. Tap Manage Subscription of the vehicle you no longer have.
  4. Scroll to bottom of screen and tap Transfer.
  5. Tap Add Vehicle.
  6. Add in the new vehicle and tap Done.
Sign Up for Pay Per Wash
  1. Download the App.
  2. Enter your email address.
  3. If you are already a member it will ask for you access code. If you are a new guest it will bring you into the sign up process.
  4. Select Household.
  5. Skip entering a code.
  6. Enter in your vehicle's information.
  7. Select the location you will be washing your vehicle then tap OK.
  8. Tap Wash Plan.
  9. At the top of the screen toggle between "Unlimited" and "Pay Per Wash". Toggle to Pay Per Wash.
  10. Next select what your preferred wash plan will be. This will be the wash you receive when you visit the wash. Then tap OK to confirm.
  11. Enter in your credit card information.
  12. Finish signing up using your name, phone number, and zip code.
  13. You are all set. Next time you visit the wash you selected, drive into one of the app lanes. We will read your license plate and charge your credit card and open the gate.
Cancel or Deactivate My Membership

  1. Open the app.
  2. Click the red "user" circle in the top-right corner of the app.
  3. Press the My cars button under your account.
  4. Tap Manage Subscription under the vehicle you wish to cancel.
  5. Select Cancel subscription.
  6. Click Save.
  7. You must cancel your membership prior to your renewal date to assure a stop on your automatic withdrawal. To confirm you have successfully deactivated, please check your email for a confirmation message. Each wash subscription must be individually cancelled on all vehicles listed in your account.
    If you are in the middle of a wash period, you will still be able to continue washing for the remainder of your billing period.

Redeem an InstaClub coupon code
  1. Enter your email to begin your account.
  2. Pick type of account (most likely Household).
  3. Enter the gift card code – all 8 CAPITAL LETTERS (MUST BE CAPITAL) – tap Apply.
  4. Add your vehicle information.
  5. Tap Primary Site – pick your site – tap Ok.
  6. Tap Wash Plan – tap the plan that pops up (e.g. Works) – tap Ok – tap Next.
  7. Enter your name, phone, and zip code, and make sure email is correct.

  6. Keep in mind that changing your plan takes effect immediately. Your account will retain your existing billing cycle based on your original signup date. If you are downgrading, we recommend you do not make the change until the day before your renewal, so that you may take advantage of the full month you have paid for. If you are upgrading, you will immediately receive a prorated charge based on your billing date.
